1. Scope of Services
Bumping Beyond provides non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals and families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Doula services are not medical care and do not replace the services of licensed medical professionals.
The doula does not perform clinical tasks, diagnose conditions, provide medical treatment, or make medical decisions.
2. No Medical Advice
All information provided through this website, written materials, consultations, classes, or services is for educational and informational purposes only. Clients agree to consult with their healthcare provider for all medical concerns and decisions related to pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:

Maintain care with a licensed healthcare provider

Communicate openly and honestly about health history, risks, or changes

Inform the doula of hospital policies, provider preferences, and changes to care plans
4. Payment & Refund Policy
Payment terms, deposits, and refund policies are outlined in individual service agreements. Fees are due as specified to reserve services. Deposits are typically non-refundable due to time reserved and availability blocked.
Missed sessions, early births, or changes in circumstances may not qualify for refunds.
5. On-Call Availability
For birth services, the doula agrees to be on call during the agreed-upon time period. Clients acknowledge that continuous presence cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances, including illness, emergencies, hospital restrictions, or unforeseen events. Backup support may be provided when available.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, [Your Business Name] shall not be held liable for medical outcomes, complications, or decisions made by clients or healthcare providers. Clients voluntarily assume all risks associated with pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery.
7. Indemnification
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless [Your Business Name] from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from medical care received, client decisions, or failure to follow medical advice.
8. Privacy & Confidentiality
Personal information shared is kept confidential and used solely for providing services, except when disclosure is required by law or there is concern for immediate harm. Website forms and communications are handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
9. Media & Testimonials
Photos, videos, and testimonials will only be used with written consent. Clients may revoke consent at any time in writing.
10. Termination of Services
Either party may terminate services with written notice. Refund eligibility, if any, will follow the terms outlined in the applicable service agreement.
11. Force Majeure
Services may be delayed or canceled due to circumstances beyond control, including illness, natural disasters, hospital restrictions, or other emergencies. Reasonable alternatives will be offered when possible.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
